Facebook Black & White Challenge – Day 2

I’ve been nominated to accept the Facebook B&W Photo Challenge, and this is my entry for day 2.

This is Cherokee from the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation in Guffey. I visited the wolves today with Denver members of my photography group, and we had a great time.

I made basic adjustments in Adobe Camera Raw. In Photoshop I duplicated the background layer and blurred it, then selected the upper right corner of the original layer with the Quick Selection Tool and cut it out to elimate the fence that was in the background. I used the burn tool to reduce the highlight areas and used the dodge tool to brighten her eyes. I added black & white and curves adjustment layers.
